Our school is located in New Rochelle, New York, 20 miles north of Manhattan in a diverse, suburban community.

The 13 acre modern campus includes parking for every member of the faculty and staff.

The recent campus building campaign has added state-of-the-art learning and social spaces, including the Innovation Hub and the High-Tech Media Conference Center.

Our students benefit from our proximity to New York City through regular trips to museums, conservatories, Broadway shows, and much more. 

Our school is accredited by the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) and the New York State Board of Regents.

We are a member of the International Coalition of Girls Schools (ICGS) and the New York State Association of Independent Schools (NYSAIS).

When you join The Ursuline School as a faculty or staff member, you join a network of educators at secondary schools and colleges of the Ursuline Sisters across the United States and 36 countries. These connections are expressed, for example, through travel and collaborations such as the 2021 Grade 11 virtual exchange with Brescia House in South Africa.

Our robust international travel program, as well as technological tools such as Zoom and Skype, have traditionally been a cornerstone of our academic model in taking learning beyond the limits of the classroom.

As an Ursuline teacher, you have the opportunity to create the conditions for each student to reach their full potential and grow into tomorrow’s leaders, problem solvers, and active global citizens. 

In addition to teaching, full-time faculty are Faculty Advisors to a small group of students. 

Full-time faculty are also expected to contribute to the extra-curricular life of the school, for example, by serving as club moderators, project mentors, Eucharistic ministers, or on occasional task forces. Involvement in extra-curriculars adds to the sense of community which is very welcoming of students, faculty and staff.

The school year is sprinkled with formal and informal traditions that connect and deepen community.  Ring Day is the most well-known tradition. Holiday dinners and monthly potlucks are enjoyed by faculty and staff throughout the year.
