The Ursuline School is proud to announce new additions to its permanent Student Art Collection, highlighting the extraordinary talent of the Class of 2025. Each year, selected works are chosen for their excellence in creativity, craftsmanship, and impact, ensuring that future generations of Ursuline students are inspired by the legacy of those who came before them.

This year's new acquisitions feature four exceptional young artists:

  • Ryan B '25 — As part of her AP Art and Design portfolio, Ryan created a monochromatic blue painting that offers a powerful exploration of human emotion. Her piece, which is part of a sustained investigation into human expression, uses figure and color to convey a depth of feeling that resonates with viewers.

  • Sienna F '25 — During a photography class field trip to the Bronx Botanical Garden, Sienna produced a breathtaking triptych of waterlilies. Her series, which examines repetition, reflection, and natural stillness, brings a moment of quiet beauty to the collection.

  • Janie Frances R '25 — Advanced art and design students often look forward to the challenge of scratchboard, a medium that demands precision and patience. Janie’s intricate rendering of downtown New Rochelle captures both the city’s architectural beauty and its vibrant energy through her striking use of line and contrast.

  • Anja T '25 — Through her AP portfolio sustained investigation, Anja created a landscape in acrylic that reflects her profound connection to nature. Her thoughtful use of light, texture, and color invites viewers into a serene and immersive environment.

Together, these works represent the dedication and imagination of Ursuline's student artists and further enrich the school's visual and media arts program. Displayed permanently on campus, the collection serves as both a celebration of student achievement and a source of inspiration for future Koalas to explore their own artistic journeys.
