The Ursuline School wrapped up its spring sports season with a series of strong performances and notable achievements, culminating in a Spring Sports Banquet held on Monday, June 2, at Wykagyl Country Club. The event was a fitting celebration in honor of Ursuline’s fine coaches and student-athletes.

Season highlights include an impressive showing by our Varsity Softball team, which finished with an amazing 20-3 record. The Koalas advanced to the Section 1 semifinals, where they were narrowly defeated by the eventual Section Champions, Clarkstown South High School.

Meanwhile, the Varsity Lacrosse team ended its season with a 13-4 record after a hard-fought loss to Horace Greeley High School in the Section 1 semifinals. The season ended in a nail-biter, with the team falling 9–8 in a thrilling double-overtime game.

In golf, Nina C ‘26 claimed the Section 1 championship title with a stellar 1-over par, while Grace R ‘29 tied for sixth place. Both golfers earned spots in the state championships in Rochester, New York, where Nina shot an impressive -6 after two days of competition, securing her place as the NYSPHSAA Girls Golf State Champion.

Throughout the spring season, Ursuline’s Koalas demonstrated skill, resilience, and team spirit across all sports. Their achievements reflect the hard work and dedication of both the athletes and their coaches. Beyond the wins and championship runs, Ursuline is especially proud of how its athletes managed to balance it all. From the intensity of practices and games to academics and special events, these Koalas demonstrated a competitive spirit, effective time management, and resilience throughout an active spring season.
