Strengthening Ursuline for the next five years

Strengthening Ursuline for the next five years

by Dr. Colleen Melnyk, president

As we return from Easter break, the beauty of spring is emerging across campus. We welcome our students back and turn our focus to the final stretch of the 2025-26 school year. Throughout the year, hard at work behind the scenes, school leadership, faculty, and staff have been focusing on a defining question: how do we continue to deliver on our mission and Core Values for Ursuline students in the years ahead?

This question is at the heart of our strategic planning process as we develop a clear roadmap for the next five years. Grounded in our mission, this plan positions Ursuline to move forward with clarity and purpose while continuing to innovate in ways that benefit all students.

This work is already taking shape in several key areas.

We are strengthening our academic programs, refining the middle school and high school experiences, and advancing the signature programs that equip students with the skills and experiences they need for success in college and beyond. We are also deepening how we live our mission by integrating faith, reflection, and service at every grade level, reinforcing a culture of care in which every student is known and nurtured.

We are aligning enrollment, financial aid, and operations to ensure long-term strength, while evaluating facilities and technology to meet our evolving needs. Together, this work positions Ursuline to move forward with clarity and purpose.

We are privileged to guide our students during this formative time, helping shape young women of faith, integrity, intellect, and purpose. I look forward to sharing more in the months ahead. For now, we remain focused on this important work and on the remarkable young women who inspire us each day.
