National Art Honor Society inducts members, showcases student work

The Ursuline School's art community took over the halls and Tully Auditorium on April 28 as the Ursuline chapter of the National Art Honor Society (NAHS) hosted its induction ceremony and annual art exhibition.

Ella Herspring '26 opened the ceremony with a prayer, followed by a welcome from NAHS chapter President Brigitta Tedeschi '26. Senior members Genesis Rendon '26, Elizabeth LaScala '26, and Miah Zabala '26 spoke on the three pillars of membership: scholarship, character, and service.

Faculty recognized new inductees with certificates, and honored select students with Achievement and Scholastic Art Awards. Senior NAHS members received cords to wear at graduation, signifying their involvement in the chapter. Tedeschi '26 and her successor, incoming president Bebhionn Coyle '28, closed the ceremony by leading members in the NAHS pledge.

In the Tully Auditorium and Gymnasium, student artwork filled the space, with pieces spanning photography, mixed media, graphic design, film, and traditional media. Senior portfolios stood at the center, drawing attention from parents, friends, and faculty who milled through the space. Community members enjoyed the refreshments and discussed the art with students, parents, and faculty, gathering to celebrate the creativity and talent across all grade levels.
