Members of the Global Scholars program and the Model U.N. team from the Class of 2027 recently visited the United Nations in New York City to take part in the 70th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW70).

As the largest women’s rights event in the world, taking place from March 9-19, there were plenty of opportunities for the students to learn more about the fight for gender equality. The girls participated in the panel "A Global Gathering for Gender Equality" and the discussion "Girls’ Voices: Without Us, No Justice” with students from Ursuline Sister Schools in New OrleansCincinnati, Louisville, and the Bronx. Finally, the girls went on a "Focus on Women" tour to learn more about the contributions of women in global affairs
