As we close the year: a celebration of faith, creativity, and community

Dr. Melnyk thanks Ava Smith, Natalia Mendoza, and Faith Cerrato, co-producers of 'Ursuline's 2024 Christmas short film, 'The Crinch Who Stole Christmas,' Friday, December 20, 2024.

As we approach the end of the year, I find myself reflecting on the meaningful moments that have brought us together as a school community during this sacred season. This year, we embraced Advent in a special way with our Scripture and Carols service. It was a beautiful opportunity to experience the Advent story through scripture and music, inviting us to reflect on the themes of hope, peace, joy, and love.

One of the morning's highlights was the debut of the short film, 'The Crinch Who Stole Christmas,' created by our talented students. This marked the second year of this special tradition and beautifully showcased the incredible collaboration between our students and faculty. Under the thoughtful guidance of Mr. Andrew Dapolite, the film offered our students the chance to explore their talents and express their creativity in ways that inspire.

One of our goals as a school is to provide unique opportunities like this for all our students—to help them explore their unique talents, build meaningful connections, and express themselves in powerful ways. This short film reflects the very best of what can happen when that vision comes to life.
