Congratulations to Ursuline track standout Ivana Richards '25, who was selected as a Con Edison Scholar-Athlete. This prestigious award is given to high school athletes who excel in academics, sports, and community service. A panel of coaches and athletic directors recognized Richards for her stellar accomplishments in hurdles, sprints, and jumping events. She joins an impressive group of Koalas, now part of Ursuline's tradition of outstanding student-athletes selected for this prestigious honor.
Track may seem like an individual sport, but success comes from the people around you. I’m grateful for a team that pushes me, coaches who guide me, and a support system that never lets me down.”
- Ivana Richards '25
Richards, who will continue her academic and athletic journey at Syracuse University this fall, has earned a trip to the State Championships in March after bringing home three gold medals, 55m Hurdles, Triple Jump, and 300m, in the Section 1 Class A County Championships.
Reflecting on the honor, she acknowledges the crucial role her fellow athletes, teammates, and coaches have played in her journey, “Track may seem like an individual sport, but success comes from the people around you. I’m grateful for a team that pushes me, coaches who guide me, and a support system that never lets me down.” Their support and encouragement have been invaluable.
Way to Go, Ivana! Your achievements make us all proud.
