Ursuline’s Class of 2025 came together on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, for a special liturgy to celebrate faith and unity. The annual Ring Day Mass is a time-honored tradition where seniors and their loved ones join with faculty, staff, students, and special guests in prayer and gratitude to commemorate a milestone in their educational journey at The Ursuline School.
For over 80 years, Ring Day has been a beloved tradition at Ursuline, symbolizing the seniors' deep connection to the school and to each other. The class ring, a powerful symbol of unity and growth, serves as a tangible reminder of the time spent learning and growing together, both as individuals and as a class.
Held close to the feast of St. Ursula on October 21, Ring Day pays homage to the school's namesake, a courageous woman of faith who valued the strength of companionship. Seniors are encouraged to follow in St. Ursula's footsteps as they prepare to leave Ursuline and embark on their own unique paths after graduation.
During the ceremony, celebrant Father Thomas Byrnes invoked a prayer for the seniors to be protected and guided as they carry the spirit of The Ursuline School with them. The rings are not just symbols of education and tradition but also of the enduring friendships and memories that will forever be a part of each student's journey.
Loving God, we pray that these young women will always be women of faith and integrity, and we ask that they remain faithful to the Ursuline motto of Serviam. May the spirit of St. Angela inspire and empower these young women to dare to dream and envision new ways to make the world a better place.”
