"Jane is a generational talent on the track, possessing both the physical and mental skills to become an elite student-athlete," said Athletic Director Dawn Cerrone. "She is well on her way."

The Ursuline senior has built steady momentum throughout the indoor season, demonstrating remarkable range and consistency across multiple events. Earlier this winter, Hickey ran a personal-best 54.86 in the 400 meters at the Armory Hispanic Games and posted a 500-meter best of 1:13.82 at the JAMBAR Coaches Hall of Fame Invitational. She has also set personal records in the 1,000 meters and 1,600 meters, clocking 2:50.93 at the Jim Mitchell Invitational and 4:53.99 at the MSTCA Boston Holiday Challenge.

A committed student-athlete, Hickey will continue her academic and athletic career at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she will compete at the collegiate level. She is also a 2026 National Merit Commended Student, exemplifying the balance of academic excellence and athletic achievement and serving as a strong example for younger students aspiring to excel in both the classroom and athletics.
