Traditional Cheer Team Crowned National Champions

After months of intense preparation and unwavering dedication, Ursuline’s Traditional Cheer Team clinched the highly coveted title of National Champions in the Traditional Small Non-Tumbling Division from the Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) in Orlando, FL, on Monday, February 10. With their flawless routines, impeccable synchronization, and unwavering team spirit, these talented Koalas captured the hearts of spectators and judges alike. 

Competing against 65 teams from around the country, their hard work and dedication throughout the season paid off. They soared through three rounds of intense competition en route to the National title.

Not to be outdone, Ursuline’s Game Day Cheer Team also had an exceptional showing, finishing second in the nation in the Small Non-Tumbling Division. Their energetic performances and impressive skills earned them the highest score across all divisions in the preliminary round.

Coached by John Braca, Adrianna Lacarbonara, and Karissa Vargas, both teams showcased their talent and passion for cheerleading, a longstanding source of pride at Ursuline. With Regional and County Championships already under their belts, the teams are now gearing up for the upcoming Sectional Qualifier for States, where they hope to defend their title and continue their winning streak.
