Grade 6: All students take one semester of Latin and one semester of Spanish. 

Grade 7: All students take one semester of Greek Culture and one semester of Italian. 

Grade 8: Students may choose either Spanish 1, Italian 1, or Latin 1. 

All middle school students have a "wheel" of courses that they rotate through each quarter. Middle school coursework includes Art, Music, Computer Science, and Personal Development.

Honors courses are available in all disciplines.

There are 19 Advanced Placement courses offered. Details are included below.

9th grade electives are music, art, and computer science. Students may choose either a full year of one of these electives or a semester each of two out of three of these electives.

Academic & College Guidance classes start in freshman year and continue through senior year.

Personal development classes and supplemental activities help students become more confident, articulate and empowered leaders, capable of facing the challenges of adolescence and prepared for the world beyond the walls of Ursuline.

Minimum Course Requirements

Students must successfully complete a minimum of 24 units in order to graduate from The Ursuline School. Of the 24 units, the following 20.5 units must be taken in the following areas:

Religion = 2.5 units (required grades 9-12)
English = 4 units
Social Studies = 4 units
Mathematics = 3 units
Classics/World Language = 3 units/or Level 3 of one language
Science = 3 units
Art/Music = 1 unit
Technology = .5 unit

Physical Education must be taken in grade 9 and then one semester anytime in grades 10-12.

Remaining units are earned through elective courses in Art, Classics, English, World Languages, Mathematics, Science, Technology, and/or Social Studies.
