Visual & Media Arts

In Visual and Media Arts, students explore a range of mediums—painting, drawing, pottery, photography, and sculpture—building their skills and confidence as they learn to express ideas and emotions through art.

Goal:

To provide a learning environment where creative students can flourish.

Curriculum Overview:

All art course offerings include foundation studies —drawing, design, and color theory —that provide a basis for the principles and elements of art. All students in grades 6-8 participate in required art courses. A wide range of elective art courses is available for students in grades 9-12. Media Arts classes also fulfill the technology requirement.
