College & Academic Counseling

The College & Academic Counseling Department guides and supports students beginning in the 9th grade. The ultimate goal is to support each and every student throughout their time at Ursuline and eventually craft a college list that matches their educational, social, geographic, and financial needs. The College & Academic Counseling team also holds annual parent meetings for each grade level. Upperclass students and parents receive access to Naviance, an easy-to-use website where students and parents can research colleges and gather information about college decisions.

Our utlimate goal is to help each student find the best “college fit” where she can continue to be challenged intellectually, develop her talents and interests both inside and outside the classroom, and assume leadership positions in a college setting. During this process, students are encouraged to think critically, advocate for themselves, and take responsibility for their actions and decisions.

The colleges to which our students are ultimately accepted and attend reflect our student body's myriad of talents and interests. Our graduates are lifelong learners eager to take their next step at top colleges and universities around the world

The #1 reason I chose to attend Ursuline was because of the academics. There are many opportunities when it comes to choosing what class you would like to take, which can benefit you when applying to college."
