High School Admissions

  • For prospective ninth graders taking the TACHS exam

  • Register for the TACHS Exam, the test will be administered REMOTELY Friday, November 5, 2021. To register, visit www.tachsinfo.com or call 1-866-618-2247. The Ursuline School code is NY234. Registration for the TACHS will close October 24.
  • Create an on-line account in our Admissions Portal and complete the Ursuline application (the Class of 2026 application will open in mid September 2021) and must be completed by December 17, 2021.  The application requires that you upload and submit the following records as part of your application:
  1.  Recent eighth grade report card
  2.  Final report cards for grades 6 & 7 showing final grades and teacher comments
  3.  Standardized test scores for grades 6 & 7 (including MAP, STAR, or NYS tests if available)
  4. Copy of applicant's birth certificate
  • Follow-up with your current school to confirm that your school completes the Applicant Record (download form here) and be sure that it is sent to Ursuline by December 17, 2021.
  • All requested records must be uploaded to your application by December 17, 2021.
  • Decision letters will be mailed to applicants on January 19, 2022.

For prospective ninth graders taking the ISEE 

  • Register for the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE) www.iseetest.org, by early December 2021 and take the exam no later than January 7, 2022. Our school code for the ISEE is 333395.
  • Create an on-line account in our Admissions Portal and complete the Ursuline application (the Class of 2026 application will open in mid September 2021) and must be completed by December 17, 2021.  The application requires that you upload and submit the following records as part of your application:
  1. Recent eighth grade report card
  2. Sixth and seventh grade report cards showing final grades and teacher comments
  3. Standardized test scores for grades 6 & 7 (including MAP, STAR, or NYS tests if available)
  4. Copy of applicant's birth certificate
  • All requested records must be received by December 17, 2021.
  • Notification of admission will be made after scores are received on or after January 19, 2022.

For prospective ninth graders taking the SSAT

  • Register for the SSAT www.ssat.org by early December 2021 and take the exam no later than January 7, 2022. Our school code for the SSAT is 2277.
  • Create an on-line account in our Admissions portal and complete the Ursuline application (the Class of 2026 application will open in September, 2021) and must be completed by December 17, 2021.  The application requires that you upload and submit the following records as part of your application:
  1. Recent eighth grade report card
  2. Sixth and seventh grade report cards showing final grades and teacher comments
  3. Standardized test scores for grades 6 & 7 (including MAP, STAR, or NYS tests if available)
  4. copy of applicant's birth certificate

For prospective ninth graders that did not take the TACHS, ISEE or SSAT

Transfer Admissions for Tenth or Eleventh Grade

  • Create an on-line account and for applicants for the 2022-23 school year, complete our application for admission (available October, 2021) in our Admissions Portal.

Academic records required for admission include:

  1. Most recent report card
  2. Report cards from 2 previous years showing final grades and teacher comments
  3. Standardized test scores for the previous 2 years, and/or PSAT/PLAN/ASPIRE scores
  4.  Copy of applicant's birth certificate
  • Transfer applicants will be considered on the strength of their academic record and results of entrance testing (either an ISEE or SSAT, for more information on these entrance tests, please use the links above.)  After submission of all records and entrance testing, we will contact you and schedule an interview with our Admissions Committee.
