Our Modified sports programs are geared towards students in 6th through 8th grade. They are designed to be both instructional and inclusive.
In the 6th grade, typically cuts only occur if an unusually high level of interest would make the team roster unmanageable.
Parents, please be aware that 7th and 8th graders who have competed at the high school level at a previous school are subject to the transfer rule set forth by the NYSPHSAA.
The transfer rule states that any student in grades 7-12 who transfers without a corresponding change in residence to the City of New Rochelle shall not be eligible to participate in her sport at Ursuline's high school level for a period of 1 (one) year if she participated in that sport at the high school level at her previous school.
