To the Ursuline Community:
As we celebrate Pentecost Sunday, we in The Ursuline School community pray for peace and unity in our troubled and divided nation. Today’s homily by Pope Francis reminds us that while we are many and come from diverse backgrounds with diverse gifts, we share the unity of our protection through the love of the Holy Spirit.
Today we stand in prayerful solidarity with all communities of color, that the Holy Spirit will inspire change in those who do not respect the lives and dignity of all individuals regardless of race or ethnicity.
We pray for the protesters seeking justice and change, the businesses ravaged by violence, and the first responders charged with restoring calm. May we find some unity and solace today in our prayers to the Holy Spirit.
