Welcome New Families

We are so glad you are joining The Ursuline School community!

This web page is a resource dedicated to you. Summer reading lists, Uniform Sales and other information have been posted.

Over the course of the next few weeks and months, we will post more information here. Please check back often.

This web page is a central place for you, our newest families, to find information helpful as you begin your Ursuline experience in this next school year.

We also invite you to start checking the Parent Portal on our website. The Parent Portal is at the top of the homepage and at the top, right-hand corner of every web page. Just click on the word Parents. No password needed.

We send out information and news to our families on a regular basis. We also send special emails as the need arises.

During the school year we send by email each Friday the Koala Weekly Bulletin which notes upcoming dates, announcements, permission slips, and news from our parent organizations. We plan to continue sending the Koala Weekly Bulletin throughout the summer, on Fridays.

You are now added to the distribution of our parent E-Newsletter which reports on student activities and school news.  This is usually sent out monthly during the school year.

The Koala Weekly Bulletin and E-News contact list is generated from the Primary email you entered on the enrollment contract. However, we are happy to add more email addresses, if that is convenient for you; emails of both parents, or work and home emails - whatever is most helpful to you. Simply email Mrs. Mulder, the Director of Communications, at

Emails regarding school business will be sent as needed from one of the following email accounts: OfficeofThePresident, OfficeofThePrincipal, MainOffice, AcademicGuidance, PersonalDevelopment, Athletics, CampusMinistry or OfficeoftheRegistrar. Class of 2024 Camp Mariah Permission Slip

Each year, we begin with an off-site orientation day for the entire 9th grade.  This provides an opportunity for both new and returning students to bond and get to know one another off-campus through fun and challenging activities.  The day is led by the skilled staff at Camp Mariah in Fishkill, NY with assistance from our Peer Leaders, who will continue working with the 9th graders throughout the school year. The offsite orientation will take place Wednesday, September 9.

Please download the information sheet and the required permission slip HERE and return the Permission Slip by mail to The Ursuline School, Attn: Camp Mariah, or email to Mrs. Victoria Pisano at by Monday, June 22.

Please note: In light of these challenging times, we are hopeful that we will be able to proceed with this Ursuline tradition as it is scheduled. Should there be any changes, you will be notified directly.

FALL SPORTS TRYOUTS. On the expectation that the health environment and NY State directives allow us to proceed with our regular athletic season, then High School sports teams will begin Fall tryouts on Monday, August 24.

Tryouts for 7/8 grade modified sports for soccer and volleyball are expected to begin on Wednesday, September 9.

6th grade basketball is a winter sport. Our 6th grade basketball program is inclusive, and cuts are not generally made unless unusually high numbers make a roster unmanageable.

Please see our Athletics web pages HERE for detailed information.

HEALTH FORMS FOR ATHLETICS. As we await confirmation on the Fall athletic season, we do have updated information on required health forms. The New York State Education Department has asked schools to accept any valid physical examination form from students for the 2019-2020 school year, regardless of whether it is on the NYS Required Health Examination Form. More information is on the Athletics portion of our website.
