Sisti wins NY State Tennis Championship,
first time ever in Ursuline School history,
as she defeats teammate Sabrina Barisano
in an All-Ursuline State Final.

Sophomore Christina Sisti became Ursuline's first State Champion in tennis as she defeated teammate Sabrina Barisano 6-4, 2-6, 6-0 in the New York State Public High School Athletic Association State Championships at Tri-City Tennis Center in Latham, NY on November 4th.

Christina, Ursuline's #1 singles player, entered the tournament as the #1 seed while Sabrina entered as #2 seed.  They each lived up to their seedings by reaching the final. In the championship match, momentum in the first set swung from one player to the other until Christina took the first set 6-4. Sabrina evened up the match by winning the second set 6-2.  In the 3rd and final set, Christina regained control and dominated, despite some amazing play by Sabrina.  The 6-0 score does not reflect the intense, close points.

Both players haved had dominating seasons, leading The Ursuline School team to an undefeated season, Conference title, and Section Team Championship.

Ursuline is very proud of the accomplishments of Christina and Sabrina as well as their coach Andre Sinclair !!!
