We proudly announce that the following Ursuline seniors have been recognized for their outstanding PSAT/NMSQT scores.
Ava Pallotta and Cecilia Visco have been named National Merit Commended Students.
Approximately 1.5 million students throughout the nation took the 2019 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test as juniors last year. An estimated 34,000 have been recognized as Commended Students based on their high scores.
Hailey Dorsainvil has been selected for the College Board National Recognition Program.
This selection is awarded to a student in the top 2.5% of PSAT test-takers in the region among those who identify as African American, Hispanic American of Latinix, Indigenous or attend school in a rural area or are from a small town. The student’s junior year Grade Point Average is also considered.
A spokesperson for the National Merit Scholarship Program stated, “We hope that this recognition will help broaden their educational opportunities and encourage them as they continue their pursuit of academic success.”
