Our virtual Evening of Innovation on Saturday, September 26, 2020 delivered on its promise of innovation!
The livestreamed program beamed direct from the new High-Tech Media Conference Center and featured pre-recorded student and alumnae videos plus bidding in the Live Auction in real time. As registered guests logged on to the livestream, they were greeted with beautiful music selections by the Ursuline Orchestra and Wind Ensemble, recorded creatively last spring as students were remotely learning.
The event offered the special opportunity to formally recognize our nine exceptional Honorees. President Eileen Davidson spoke about each of our Honorees and their remarkable contributions to Ursuline.

Imagine designing software at Microsoft or producing TV shows in Los Angeles or working in cybersecurity or studying bioengineering at Harvard! Ursuline alumnae are doing these things and happily shared their stories at the Evening of Innovation. In their videos, alumnae speak about how important the Innovation Campaign is to students today and in the future. Enjoy this "must see" video below!
Professional auctioneer Pat Tully took the mic for the Live Auction. Even at a virtual distance, the auction was entertaining and exciting as bidders strategically placed their bids for a variety of prizes.
Though virtual, this event was celebrated with style! The 450 registered guests enjoyed a festive evening at home with specially delivered gourmet grazing boxes from Stephanie's Kitchen Counter that were perfectly accompanied by Maison Marcel wine. Our Honorees and Sponsors enjoyed a delicious dinner from Scarborough Fair Catering delivered to their homes.
THANK YOU to our generous sponsors, donors, and guests for ensuring the success of this evening. We raised close to $400,000 through the event, bringing the total of gifts and pledges to just over $7 million of the $8.5 million Innovation Campaign goal. Special thanks to the Event Committee, led by Honorary Chair Sr. Jane Finnerty, OSU and to Event Chair Laura Herrera '95 of Full House Events LLC.
All funds raised from the Evening of Innovation will go toward a naming opportunity for President Eileen Davidson. After 38 years of dedicated service to The Ursuline School, Mrs. Davidson will be retiring at the end of June 2021. How special it will be to name in her honor a part of this school to which she has devoted so much!
