Saturday socially-distanced food drives at Ursuline became a "thing" last Spring and they resumed in Fall 2020!
Rain or shine, twice a month, students volunteered to accept and organize the donated food and other items. Collected items were donated to Serviam Gardens in the Bronx, a senior low-income housing site, or to HOPE Community Services in New Rochelle.
Various service activities during the Fall addressed a number of needs. Team Ursuline Koalas raised over $8,500 in the virtual Polar Plunge – one of the top results in the area. Maeve Ryan '24 initiated the 6th grade Operation Christmas Child. Emma Centenni '22 organized a bike ride-a-thon to help victims of the explosions in Lebanon.
We are grateful to all families that dropped off turkeys or pies for our annual Thanksgiving collection for St. Peter's Church in Yonkers. Very much appreciated!
